Around the Garden

Gardening

Finally have gotten the garden all organized and mostly planted. Starting this spring it looked like a “garbage dump” this is so much more workable! Weeds are rare….but I am always scanning for victims!

Also installed a drip irrigation through out… I hope to save water! What does not show is I put in all the beds this poly stuff that absorbs water ( same as in diapers) to help with the water retention.

This is a list of items have planted. Some are new and just for fun or experimenting!
-Carrots, beets, lettuce, onions, leeks Swiss chard spinach.

-Bell peppers, Halopeno Peppers, Anaheim chili peppers, tomatoes ( roma and better bush ) Tomatillos.

-Corn, pumpkins, sunflowers, zucchini ( green and yellow), muskmelon, cantaloupes, watermelon, cucumbers asparagus potatoes (white and red) okra sweet potatoes, nasturtium

-Dill, basil, oregano, chives, parsley and cilantro

-Beans–green, black turtle, great northern and kidney. chick peas ( garbanzos)

Also rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries blueberries

Can you see this nice and neat area turning in a jungle! Alyssa thinks my garden will mutate and eat me one day!
